Building Policies

Smoking

The RRC is a completely tobacco-free campus. Smoking is strictly prohibited on all RRC property, both inside and outside of RRC buildings. Please view the Tobacco and Smoking Policy for additional information.

Signs and Posting

No signs or posters should be taped or otherwise affixed to the walls, doors, or windows. All postings must be approved at the Student Success center in Avery 201 and will be placed on public bulletin boards. Postings will be removed after two weeks.

Solicitation

There will be no unauthorized solicitations on the campus without approval from Round Rock Student Success office supervisor, per UPPS 07.04.03.02.

Skateboards and Bicycles

Use of skateboards, roller blades, shoes with concealed wheels and other items which may damage property or cause bodily injury are prohibited in all buildings on the RRC property. Bicycles are not permitted in the building. See UPPS 05.07.02 for additional information.

Animals

Animals and pets, other than service animals, are not permitted in any university facility. Only service animals that meet the specific criteria will be exempt. For the relevant criteria, please see the Procedures for Service Animals at Texas State University.

Parking

Every student, faculty or staff person must register their vehicle and become familiar with the Traffic and Parking Rules at Texas State University. Permits are required at all times and there are no after-hour or weekend exceptions.


Campus Carry

Concealed carry is prohibited in the Counseling Clinic in Avery room 111, Avery room 112, the Student Health Center in the Nursing Building room 116, and the Speech-Language-Hearing and Physical Therapy Clinics in Willow Hall. This information can also be found on UPPS 01.04.45.
